Trout and whitefish that spawn on the Buffalo Reef on the east side of the Keweenaw Peninsula are threatened by stamp sands from the area's former copper industry. Scientists are working to understand the threat, and Native American populations in Michigan's Upper Peninsula are involved in the effort to save the rocky reef. Episode 1006/Segment 3
