One advocate says the biggest threat to families right now is underpaid employees.

The head of one support agency says COVID-19 has disproportionately impacted individuals suffering from intellectual and developmental disabilities. According to the Department of Human Services, as of Nov. 22 there have been more than 1,000 cases and 95 deaths within the community.
