I've been a lover of barbershop music for nearly a decade now and I'd like to share with you this beautiful art form.
Please come and sing along with us.
In barbershop quartet singing, there are four different voices, each with their own unique sound.
This is Kyle.
He's the bass of our quartet and he's the foundation of our sound.
♪ I'm the bass ♪ - This is Alex.
He's the tenor of our quartet and the highest voice.
He's always soaring above us.
♪ I'm the tenor ♪ - This is Robert.
He's the baritone of our quartet, sort of a medium-low voice.
He has to have a very good ear because he's responsible for all the wacky notes in the chord.
♪ I'm the baritone ♪ - Finally, you have the last part of the quartet, which is the lead.
The lead sings the melody and they're the ones that you hear the most.
♪ I have the tune ♪ When you put it all together, here's what it sounds like.
♪ Ice cream ♪ ♪ Ice cream ♪ ♪ Ice cream ♪ ♪ Ice cream ♪ - And now we're gonna sing for you the song, "Hi, neighbor."
