I'm Genesis, and I've been a host on Curious About Careers for six years, and it's been an amazing experience getting to see how STEM is incorporated in so many different careers and getting to interview so many different women and seeing them do what they love every single day has been inspirational to me.
So where are we today?
We're here at Potter Park Zoo.
My very first Curious About Careers segment that I filmed was a zookeeper, and I got the opportunity to feed the otters that they have up.
That was definitely really fun.
I didn't realize that doing the show, I would really get to see what these women do and be a part of that.
With a high of 82 degrees and a low of 63.
One of my favorites was getting to do the weather with a meteorologist.
Yay.
Some of the careers have explored, I would have never though that STEM was incorporated into.
I've interviewed a yoga instructor and a baker and a soap maker and a Tang Soo Do instructor.
It was really cool getting to see how STEM is incorporated in so many different things.
Like this is a prime example I would have never expected.
I really cleaned up learning about soapy science.
Taught me how instrumental STEM is in music.

There's always a little punny outro that's meant to tie to the end of that segment.
Honestly, it takes a lot of work to think of them.
Master Q helped me on my white belt in Tang Soo Do and Physics today.

I think that Curious about Careers is a really important segment for kids, especially girls, because it shows them that they can do whatever they want.
Guys I kind of know what I'm doing.
I love getting the opportunity to shine a light on so many different careers and so many different strong and empowering women, and I hope that the show inspire others the same way it does me.
I had a wild time I got the VIP treatment today, that's a wrap.
