- Hello.
Today you're going to learn the lowercase letters i, u and t to make sure that you do your very best.
I would like for you to check your writing position, make sure that you're sitting back in your chair but not leaning against it.
Your feet should be on the floor and you should be facing your desk squarely if you are right-handed.
The bottom left hand corner of the paper should be pointing toward you and you should hold your pen or pencil about an inch from the point between the thumb and index finger.
The pen should be resting against the knuckle of your hand and the end of the pen should point toward your right shoulder.
If you are left-handed, the bottom right-hand corner of the paper should be pointing toward you.
You can hold your pencil a little bit further back than an inch so that you can see you're writing a little better.
Again, it should be resting on the knuckle of your hand and the end of the pen should point out and away from your left shoulder.
I'm going to now do the under curve oval and I would like for you to watch and of course, as I write, I'm going to hold the top of the paper with the hand that I'm not using to write With the oval begins at the baseline with an under curve up to the headline, then curves back down, around and closes.
