Cyboids were NOT designed for underwater travel!
Green Team.
You have arrived at the Lost Lagoon.
Catch a pair of LumaFish They must add up to nine And multiply to twenty To make them brightly shine!
LumaFish?
What's a LumaFish?
Oh.
You looking for us?
We are if you're a LumaFish.
Yep.
You've come to the right lagoon.
To solve the puzzle, we need to catch two of them whose numbers add up to nine.
And also multiply to twenty.
And when the right two are put together, they'll light up!
But which two?
I don't know.
Let's just catch a couple and try some combinations.
Wait!
The numbers have to add up to nine so those are the only fish we need to catch!
Um... which two numbers are we talkin' about?
Eight and one adds up to nine.
Let's try those!
Uggh... d'oh.
Got 'em!
But they aren't glowing!
What did we do wrong?
Eight plus one definitely adds up to nine!
But the numbers also have to multiply to twenty, remember?
Eight times one is only eight.
Sorry, fishies... Let's try some other combinations.
Time out.
Instead of trying to catch 'em all - it might be easier to draw up a little table and work with that first.
Hey, we can draw on this rock!
We already know eight plus one doesn't work.
What other combos add up to nine?
Seven!
Seven plus 2 equals nine!
But seven times two is only fourteen.
No good.
Try six next, TW.
Six plus three equals nine.
And six times three equals... eighteen.
Too small!
Yeesh!
We're never gonna get this!
Yes we will!
Each experiment cuts down on the numbers that are left.
We're guaranteed to find the right ones if we stay in order.
Try five next!
Five plus four equals nine.
And five times four equals... twenty!
YES!
We got it!
Okay, four and five... come to Didgie!
Ahhh... GOT 'EM!
YES!
Way to go, Didge!
Instead of just taking wild guesses, narrowing down our choices did the trick!
Congratulations!
You solved the puzzle.
Follow the path to Reconfiguratron.
What!
The three teams have somehow... managed to solve their puzzles - but The Hacker has one more surprise for them.
Yeah!
Finally!
We made it!
Hey, everyone!
Hello, Earthbrats.
You have reached the Reconfiguratron!
But there's something I neglected to tell you.
You have to solve just one more teensy puzzle before you can shut down the Reconfiguratron and save Solaria!
WHAT?
Another challenge?!
And you have just four minutes to solve the puzzle before Solaria becomes a data dump!
Okay, contestants... listen up.
Here's the final puzzle: Gnomie is wearing one hat, and two boots.
If you had sixty-six boots and hats combined how many Gnomes would you have?
Oh, and you only get one guess!
Enter the right answer before the time reaches zero... or you lose!
This is impossible!
No, it isn't Didge.
It's just like with the Lumafish.
We can use a table to organize our guesses.
Great strategy!
Let's start with one Gnome.
I'll draw a table.
One Gnome wears two boots and one hat, for a total of three boots and hats.
Way too few.
Let's try ten Gnomes!
Each Gnome has two feet and one head.
So ten times two... is twenty boots.
And ten times one is ten hats.
Ten Gnomes... Twenty boots...
Ten hats.
For a total of... thirty!
Still way short of sixty-six.
Since ten Gnomes is still too few, lets triple the number of Gnomes and see what we get!
Thirty Gnomes means sixty boots plus thirty hats.
Ninety total!
Whoa!
Too many this time.
We need to end up somewhere in between.
Since ten Gnomes aren't enough and thirty Gnomes are way too many, let's try a number right in the middle... twenty.
Okay!
Twenty Gnomes wear forty boots... and twenty hats.
Twenty plus forty is sixty boots and hats.
Sixty?
That's close to sixty-six!
Each time we add a Gnome to our guess, it takes our total up by three... cause it adds two boots and one hat to the total.
So adding one more Gnome would add two boots and one hat, giving us sixty-three!
And adding two Gnomes would add four boots and two hats.
Bringing our total to forty-four boots and twenty-two hats.
Forty-four plus twenty-two equals... Sixty-six boots and hats!
That's it!
The answer is sixty-six!
Didge, wait!
Look - we need the number of gnomes so the answer is - Twenty-two!
Yeesh!
Thanks, Nezzie!
You're welcome and don't call me - Oh, just hurry, Didge!
WE DID IT!
Not so fast, cyberbrats!
You may have followed the rules, but that doesn't mean I will!
Buzz, Delete... restart the Reconfiguratron!
What?!
Right away, Boss - Ugh!
OOOPS!
It's back on, boss!
Uh-oh... Ahhhhh!
The boss definitely isn't gonna be happy about that!
