How to Watch Design Squad
Design Squad is available to stream on pbs.org and the free PBS App, available on iPhone, Apple TV, Android TV, Android smartphones, Amazon Fire TV, Amazon Fire Tablet, Roku, Samsung Smart TV, and Vizio.
A kayak has a deck and a hull.
The deck is formed by two gunwales joined together by beams.
The hull, or underside of the kayak, is shaped by a keel, a strong beam that runs from the bow to the stern.
Bent ribs that connect gunwale to gunwale are lashed to the keel.
Stringers are then lashed to the ribs to strengthen and shape the frame.
