Could you tell me what you do and where we are.

I'm the owner and CEO of Final Approach Detailing here in Okemos Michigan, where we're at today.

At Final Approach Detailing, we're a specialty service provider really focused on long term protection and preservation of vehicles.

Can you tell me mor about what you do as a detailer?

My day can consist of things lik interior and exterior detailing, paint protection film, window tinting, and any given day as the business owner, I'm either stepping and on those services or helping run the business.

We work on lots of different vehicles and vessels here at Final Approach Detailing.

Here we can accommodate cars, boats, RVs, tractors and even airplanes, which is our specialty.

How is Stem involved in your work?

When it comes to science, really really focusing on the chemistry behind the products that we're using.

There's lots of different thing that we utilize our technology when it comes to the software that we utilize.

Really understanding surface tension and dynamics of force and how that relates.

I actually grew up detailing.

My dad was a specialty mechanic, so I was an only child, and how he kept me busy was detailing all the cars that he had coming through.

So I really grew up detailing in the shop.

When it comes to detailing, it's not just about the skill of detailing.

You really have to have a deep understanding of the science, the engineering, the math that goes into it.

Really understanding how chemicals work how machines work and tools work is critical to be able to provide detailing services at the level that we do.

I'm so passionate about this career because I get to show up every day and do something that I love.
