EVERYWHERE.
HERE'S WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE IN THE TRIASSIC TIME PERIOD.
NO FLOWERS.
>> [GASP] NO FLOWERS?
>> BUT THEN, DURING THE JURASSIC PERIOD, MORE PLANTS AND LITTLE FLOWERS APPEARED.
>> I SEE SOME LITTLE FLOWERS!
HOORAY!
>> AND NOW WE'RE IN THE CRETACEOUS TIME PERIOD, AND LOOK!
ALL KINDS OF BIG, FANTASTIC FLOWERS ARE GROWING.
>> I CAN'T WAIT!
BRING ON THE FLOWERS.
>> AND REMEMBER, WHEN YOU FIND THOSE FLOWERS, YOU'LL ALSO SEE BEES BUZZING AROUND THEM, TOO.
SO, "BEE" ON THE LOOKOUT FOR BEES!
[TRAIN'S WHISTLE BLOWS] NEXT STOP--BIG POND.
BEE.
IT LIKES TO GO TO EVERY KIND OF FLOWER IT CAN FIND.
IT'S EASY TO TEST.
LOOK.
>> YUP, NOW IT'S VISITING ALL THESE YELLOW FLOWERS.
RED ONES, BEE.
FIND US SOME BIG, RED ONES.
[BEE BUZZING] >> YEAH!
COLORED FLOWERS THE BEST.
>> IT LOOKS LIKE THE BEE IS DRINKING SOMETHING FROM THE FLOWER.
>> YUP.
THE BEE TAKES A DRINK FROM EVERY FLOWER.
IT'S SOMETHING CALLED NECTAR.
AND WHILE HE'S GETTING NECTAR, SOMETHING ELSE STICKS TO HIS LEGS.
IT'S CALLED POLLEN, AND THE BEE SPREADS IT FROM FLOWER TO FLOWER.
>> DOES THE POLLEN HELP MAKE MORE FLOWERS?
>> EXACTLY.
WAY TO USE THE OLD DINO BRAIN, BUDDY.
>> HA HA.
