- You've been able to be in space and use all the equipment, do you come back to the engineers and give them feedback about it?
- Oh, absolutely.
That's one of the important things that all astronauts do when we come back from missions, is we have debriefs with all of the different groups that supported our mission, and tell them some suggestions about things that maybe was hard to really anticipate when you're developing here on Earth how they actually operate in microgravity and give them some ideas for the future.
- What equipment has changed since you last went in space?
- Well, they've actually changed quite a bit in some areas, and one of the things that we're always looking at is how do we have materials that are lighter and stronger.
And those are really important for space.
