Hampl's writing is so much a part of her that she spent time away because life is a journey and people use books to take a journey and she wants to reflect that in her books. She feels writing is exciting but somewhat frustrating because it keeps you engaged. The ability to write his like an old friend to her, nothing fearful or dangerous.
