Get my shoes on at the door.
I'm Lapchick.
seven They feel great.
I'm gonna shine after I do it, I'm gonna do it.
But do they get a look at this guy with the beautiful color about the weather?
Just for me to not share it with another?
I got to show to give that out singing show.
I'll take a look and say a beautiful harmony that's earned your beautiful, easy and together make beautiful light.
And that's you wanna see the come along with me?
That's right.
This has been such a tremendous year here and experience Michigan.
We had the most incredible experiences, and I hope you enjoyed our end of the year segments where we really brought in the music to end the season.
That was such a special touch for us.
The music was so beautiful, it really brought so much to our viewers for the holiday season, and I think we're going to start doing a little bit more music all throughout the year.
I think that's right, Kelly.
We are definitely will do a lot more music this year as we get to know some of our local bands and artists in the area.
There is so much to offer in Michigan, and it's not just in activities that you can do, but the talent that is around here.
And that really kind of led us into some of the things that we experienced this year as far as the creative talent.
Isn't that right?
Absolutely.
And I have to say that was probably one of my favorite parts of this year with all the different creative experiences that we got to do.
I even one of the things that we got to do it Happy Tree Studio was Pink's like Bob Ross and I have that painting on my wall.
And so even bringing it into my own home has been an awesome experience.
But sharing that with the community has just been tremendous.
I'm excited to show you guys all of our favorite creative opportunities that we did this year.
That was actually one of my favorites as well, Courtney.
And that's because I'm I can maybe play music.
But when it comes to painting and drawing, I am horrible.
So I thought, no way that that painting is going to look like what Bob Ross did, but it was really good.
I was pleasantly surprised.
And you know, people actually ask, people actually ask when they see the nice elements of Bob Ross painting, they're like, Is that a real Bob Ross?
And they don't believe me that I need.
So we did amazing that.
Yes, we did.
And you know, one another favorite was the Green Queen Selfie Studio.
That was so much fun.
I brought my daughter and, you know, we got some great pictures there and it was fun doing all those things with all the props and everything with, you know, it was really great.
And, you know, there's lots of people in our community that love getting creative.
So why don't we just get to it and let them see all the different ways we were created last year and the creative things we can do this year?
one.
How oh, I guess it's not cry.
I never really thought on the matter like it's making a letter.
I don't know.
All right.
Oh, hey, I'm coming a little closer to.
I'm going to keep I'm going to get some of our starters, and I don't want to mix it up, but there we go, right?
A little yellow in there is a great color for that.
Oh, that's pretty.
That is really pretty.
Oh, sorry, I'm not.
Just like Treasure Island, there's a hidden treasure.
You come in the store and there's another hidden treasure back here.
Well, tell us about this particular class.
It is called poor painting.
People love to watch this online.
They watch YouTube videos over and over, and you can try it here without buying all the supplies and making a mess in your house.
Well, that's good.
So I'm going to I am going to challenge you to do it right here right now without ever having done this before.
We have a cup filled with beautiful colored paint and a few magical ingredients for you.
Yeah, let's do it.
So I'm going to put it all out there and then flip it over and set it on your little pedestal here.
And now you hold it up.
I'm going to pull it up.
Yep.
Oh right, my friend is where the magic happens.
So this rain is going to move and flow and start to drip off of there.
Move it around a little bit.
Really pretty.
Now what are you going?
OK, I'm going to do a thing where I'm going to put some paint around the outside edge, right?
And the myth is just the bottom of a pop bottle.
But I'm going to put that on there, and I'm going to pour my paint over it and see what happens with these little rivulets that it's going to make.
Oh, that is really cool.
Oh, it is.
Look at that.
It's kind of separating.
That is really cool.
And a little bit of the red going on right now, isn't that at all cool?
So then, you know, and we just lay around that.
I'm ashamed of that and remove that.
I never work with one of those people.
All right, Meg, what is this one called?
OK, so this is alcohol ink coasters, and what it is is coloring these little ceramic coasters, and that's fun in and of itself.
I've already done that for you.
But what you get to do is drop the isopropyl alcohol onto that colored coaster and see what magic happens just about to say what's going to happen?
Oh my god.
Isn't that neat?
You can do another one if you want to.
Is that is really cool.
And so you can do that as much or as little as you want, but they kind of end up looking almost like gods or agate.
They look very natural and organic.
So that's that's one of those fun, quick projects that we're going to do coming up.
Well, Mike, thank you so much.
This has been so much fun with me and I know why it's called Treasure Island because there's so many treasures here and you're one of them.
Absolutely.
Thanks so much.
Thank you.
I wish I could do something else, even though I know to do some kind of cooking something else.
We're here at Happy Tree Studio in Warsaw, Indiana, and we're going to learn more about the Bob Ross technique.
We're going to make Happy Little Cloud.
You can put one cloud, you can put in two clouds, you can put three clouds for as many clouds in there as you're going to want.
I can spend all day doing clowns.
And I'm going to start putting in my first peek.
Why do mine look like Band-Aid straps?
Howard, we're just going to blend these mountains.
Down into the canvas.
Then once we have our mountains, we're going to add some snow.
And it always helps to make noises, surely.
Here's that we're on to something out like that.
I'm out.
And we're just tap tap tap, tapping that into the canvas.
And pull down.
Instant reflections.
Just straight liquid white, and we're going to grab that.
Role playing again.
We're going to cut right into that canvas and make a water line.
Touch, touch, touch.
Tanisha, I have to say, like Bob Ross, you are a miracle worker, oh, thank you, guys.
Maybe you're going to master artist.
I'm so proud of myself.
I don't say this in a day.
I know I've never I've never done anything like this and I never thought I could.
Ross technique is so easy and so fun to learn.
I need you guys both did a great job.
Awesome.
Well, thank you so much.
I here like I actually made a tree that didn't look.
I mean, I do have some stick for your tree saying these are no great.
Everybody's mountains with like mountains there, but looks like this is you did really great.
And then it's just like you said, when everyone leaves here with that painting, they are really happy.
I mean, I'm very happy.
Yes, yes, I make sure everyone gets the attention that they need if they're struggling towns and then, you know, I'm there for them, whatever they need and they come out with a great painting when they leave.
How can people get in touch with you to have a tree studio dot com?
All right.
And all your information is there to sign up for classes and dates.
And Times Square was so much fun here in Warsaw, Indiana.
Thank you so much.
Thank you for having us.
Thank you so much.
I'm so happy.
I always feel like it is never a bad time for a selfie, but I feel like I need a bigger space to do that.
So maybe we should check out the Green Queen Selfie Studio, where we can take all of the selfies that we like, and I think I have a few things that I need to do.
OK, all right.
Well, you know what?
Ready for our close up dream queen.
Oh, you caught me taking selfies, but that's OK, because today we are checking out Green Queen Selfie Studio here in Elkhart, Indiana.
I'm so excited to be in this space.
It is so much fun and I have with us today, Danielle, who is the owner.
What really is a selfie studio?
A selfie studio is essentially a place that you can come with your friends and your family and take pictures of yourself.
And it's actually pretty convenient for a lot of people because, you know, some people are insecure, the angles they don't know how to pose, and you're able to look in like to the ring lights and actually see how you look when you take the photos.
OK?
Along with some clickers so you can take it, you know, secretively.
Oh, look at that.
So let's check out some of the other spaces.
Oh, right, there are balls.
There's a bar like my favorite thing, including like hot dog and donut floaties is like, how ridiculous.
It's so much fun.
Oh wow, it's wow is a total experience.
This can be used for bowl videographer or pictures.
And not only that, but you know some people might want just plain colors on here, so I change the color I can coordinate.
Coordinate with your outfit.
Yes.
Yes, yes.
And I know we were just talking about having birthday parties here where, you know, I love to bring my teams here where they can take all of us selfies that they could possibly desire, right?
You could.
You can totally book out my space for birthday parties, graduation or even company picnics.
Speaking of graduation, I know there's graduations going on right now, and I heard some commotion here.
And what is this?
The speakeasy room is that she's concerned about.
If you want to be classy, this is for my classy.
I mean, I know my guys are having so much fun, so my daughter is graduating tomorrow and we heard about this place and we were like, This is totally where we have to come and get pictures, then doesn't she look great on me?
I think she's taking all these selfies, but you know what I mean?
I put her through school for four years, and in this selfie, I feel like we need to make it really realistic.
So watch it, guys.
All right.
OK, see, I made it here.
Yes?
Graduate, it's always awesome, well, thank you so much for showing us this space, and I think we have some selfies to get you to take in.
Totally do to.
It was so much fun to get out and experience all the ways that people can be creative and really what it comes to show is that people are doing some really unique things on their own and taking a chance and saying, Here I have this talent.
Let me help you to discover the talents that you have.
And it was fun to watch you guys get out there and be creative and and see some talents in yourself you didn't know you had.
Is that true?
I had no idea they were there, but that's part of why we do what we do.
So people can discover different parts of themselves and grow in different ways.
And another way that you can grow and that's fun at the same time is when we went out to play.
Guys, do you remember the waypoint VR when we get to Brisbane thing, I'm still acknowledging we had so many takes in that you can even see.
I still say he had to stop the game for Kelly's sake.
Yeah, I'm still.
I'm so sorry.
I feel sorry for the next ten years, but it was a lot of fun as well.
And I loved bringing out my competitive side, especially with Dave, who unfortunately can't be here with us today.
He's feeling a little under the weather, but that generation of adventure flex and also, you know, we went to the action park paintball or that was a fun time getting our game on.
Oh, you know what else?
I had fun skating at Howard Park.
I remember when I went, when it was the old Howard Park and then the way they've done it now, so much fun was really fun.
Before we got started, we kind of use, you know, the almost like the walker that the children, the girls.
We started out with that just in case now that my age, you don't want to fall.
But after a while, we were skating around and just had tons of fun in the park is so beautiful as well.
Whether it's the winters in the spring or fall and just those to see all of the things that are in our community and things that are growing again, that has just improved so much throughout the years.
And there's so many things to do there and have lots of fun with the family.
Yeah.
And remember, if you guys have things like what we've experienced over the last year, you can let us know about them so that we can get out and experience them in this upcoming year.
But until then, let's take a look back at some of the ways that Kelly and Courtney and they've got to get out and play.
Should I keep my eye on the bull's eye?
I'm moving in case he hit me on the swing back until you?
You made it.
Oh wow.
End of the day and come back, matters fall straight through.
Just saying she's wicked.
She's like a real Viking.
Remember, I am Celtic, so this is in my blood.
OK, so we've.
Come on.
I'm not the only one who had so much of the luck of the Irish great, there you go.
Look at that.
Oh, it's so close.
Yeah.
There you go.
Oh my God.
There you go.
She's found her sport.
Yes.
There you go.
That's pretty good.
Know how much fun.
It was a great time today, didn't we?
Go ahead.
OK. All right.
All right, Courtney, going on the other side.
Oh gosh.
OK, Courtney, we're going to come back and help me.
How are you going to start in 321?
Go, go, go.
I became a global chief when all over.
Oh, my goodness that we had so much fun now we said we're not going to work out Joe.
And as you can tell, we really are beginners.
How do we do?
OK?
I mean, there's a good reason why you wear masks.
That's also the best place to ensure it doesn't hurt at all.
All right.
It's also usually what you see on people.
But yeah, it's exciting.
The adrenaline rush.
I mean, when you're in a short time period out here today.
So when you're actually getting a full game experience and where you had to play for ten minutes or twelve minutes and you got 20 people outside the castle, I bet that's intense.
It's very intense, very exciting.
But yeah, we ran everything you guys need.
If you need to visit us, we have a website, action park, paintball dot com.
All of our reservations are down there.
All of our waivers are down there.
We also have Facebook that updates our events as what's going on.
We have our first tournament coming up in June.
So if you want try, you two want to try.
You can draft one more person.
We have a three man tournament coming up on New Day.
You hear lot of players.
We have a good, a bad and a really bad division.
All right.
We're in and they're really busy aquarid.
But thank you guys for coming out.
Thanks.
Thanks for helping us celebrate.
Marco Polo.
Got.
Right.
Is this like unlimited ammo, or am I getting myself?
It's crazy, I actually just thought I was in an elevator.
This is so weird.
OK.
I. Oh.
Oh, my gosh.
My heart is like beating so fast.
Oh, oh, oh my gosh.
This is my process.
Oh.
It is so exciting to be here at the Bendix Esports Gaming Center.
Now this place is pretty incredible.
You kind of walk in and I don't know about you, but it's almost like a feeling like you're in a video game when you walk in here.
I guess mission accomplished, then from that standpoint that we did want to create a home for the community to come out and try something new and try something different.
In fact, I don't know that it is all that different because then we're we're doing our research and brainstorming about this opportunity.
We had the World Championships in South Bend in 2007 and again in 2009 for the Games Super Smash Brothers.
So it's been in our community for such a long time, but now we're giving it that authentic sense of being in a place for folks to call home and the sports arena here in the Century Center.
So can you give us a tour of the gaming center?
Because this, like I said, it's pretty cool and there's tons of little spaces here.
So this space?
I recognize that that's a monitor.
That's a.
Got it there.
You're on to it.
So six of these, we have 36 pieces HP Omen PC.
So it might be a nicer computer than you have at home.
We have more bandwidth in this room than you probably have at home, and I doubt that somebody has this truss work and this amount of lighting in their home.
But the computers are largely the same.
So the 24 on the floor, another twelve on the stage behind us, twelve on the stage are behind us are actually a higher and more powerful functioning PC.
So those are meant for our highest level competitors.
So battle practice is up there.
South Bend Lions practice up there.
It's a 24 inch monitor, but it refreshes at a higher rate.
So those are the same sort of quality pieces that you'd have at a national level gaming tournament around the country.
This place is just we meant we meant it to be, and we think it will be an all inclusive, welcoming environment.
So from our staff, that's here to greet someone to help you get started, even if you haven't experienced this level of gaming before.
Yeah, are you in a PC like this?
We're here to help someone get started for the first time, and we're here Wednesday to Sunday each and every week, and you can come out and stay for an hour or stay for multiple hours to experience it.
But it's meant for any age level, any ability, level and familiarity level that we want folks just to experience something a little bit different here in our community.
Come around, come around to.
Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Oh, you just don't.
OK, one more here.
Wait.
Oh my.
Oh, somebody is probably like, get off the field.
Boom.
Oh, no, they just scored.
Oh, I think I got one.
I think I did.
I get it in now.
Hey, Jeff, you know what?
I think I think I need a drink now.
Yeah, I think the word of the year is joy, which I wear my joy shirt today.
It has been such a joyful year being able to experience all of these amazing things in Michigan and sharing them with you.
two, it's really been a lot of fun for.
And of course, we're heading into the New Year now.
So happy 2020 to everybody.
Yes.
And Courtney, I do love the shirt and you know, you're absolutely right.
It has been a joy to just work together, and it's been a joy to be out there in the community, all the wonderful people, all of the great stories.
And it is a joy to be able to bring that to you all every single week.
But we also want to know what brings you joy.
What do you enjoy doing with your family?
Please let us know.
You can email us that experience that miss Gianna Dawg or just hit us up on Facebook, but we are going to enjoy 22 together, so be sure to tune in next week for someone.
I think next week, what are we eating?
We're going to eat over eating and maybe we need to work it off.
So there's a little of that to you.
Well, I already started that, so I guess I will just increase that a little bit more.
But we'll see you next week.
Thanks for joining us, guys.
Experienced Miss Gianna is made possible in part by the Community Foundation of Saint Joseph County and the Indiana Arts Commission, which received support from the State of Indiana and the National Endowment for the Arts.
This WNIT local production has been made possible in part by viewers like you.
Thank you.
