Last season, I went from the top of Alaska to the bottom of Canada.
This season, we're crossing the lower 48 from Montana to Arizona.
And there's so much to explore.
Welcome.
Can we eat it?
What are the stories that aren't often told?
It just all of a sudden hit me like, why are we not playing as Native Americans?
I want to meet the people shaping these places.
The point is the people, not the buildings.
It is my very first time reading a poem.
Of course, if I really want to understand them.
Welcome to the World of Chainsaws.
I have to jump in.
I'm saying goodbye to my comfort zone.
Do you want to drive it?
Can I?
And immersing myself in all kinds of new experiences.
Oh, and there will be food.
Lots and lots of food.
This is insane.
Food with history.
Food with soul.
What a beautiful sight!
And food that tells us who we are and where we are headed.
Complex flavors for complex stories.
I love that.
But through every mile, every meal, and every person I meet, there's one question that drives this journey.
What can we learn from each other?
The further I travel, the better I understand the country I now call home.
And how much we have to share.
I'm Pati Jinich, and this is PanAmericana.
