ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE SEE HERE ARE PEOPLE SIGNIFICANTLY IMPACTED BY FINANCIAL CHANGES IN THEIR LIFE AND IN PART BECAUSE OF THE INTERFERENCE THAT PAIN AND OTHER MEDICAL CONDITIONS BRING ON.
PEOPLE CAN BE LAID OFF OF WORK.
THEY CAN ON DISABILITY.

SO IN THE SHORT TERM, THE FIGHT OR FLIGHT RESPONSE IF WE HAVE A BIG PHYSICAL THREAT LOOK THE NEAR MISS CAR ACCIDENT OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT IS SUPER ADAPTIVE AND HELPS US RESPOND, BUT CHRONICALLY WHEN WE'RE UNDER STRESS IN THAT FIGHT OR FLIGHT RESPONSE IS ON EVERY SINGLE DAY, IT BEGINS TO WEAR DOWN THE BODY, SO WE HAVE AN INCREASE IN ADRENALINE, CORT SOL, INCREASED BLOOD PRESSURE, INCREASED HEART RATE, INCREASE IN BLOOD SUGAR, CHANNEL IN CIRCULATION, SO THAT WE LOSE CIRCULATION FROM OUR HANDS AND FROM OUR FEET AND SWYRIN CREASED MUSCLE TENSION, THE MOUTH BECOMES DRY, ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE HAPPENING IN ORDER TO TRY TO GET US TO ADAPT, THAT IS GOOD IN THE SHORT TERM, BUT WHEN WE'RE DEALING WITH SOMETHING CHRONICALLY THAT WE HAVE TO KEEP ADAPTING TO AND WE ARE CONTINUING TO BE UNDER THAT PRESSURE THAT IS WHEN WE CAN BEGIN TO SEE SOME OF THE NEGATIVE EFFECTS THAT COME FROM THE CHANGES THAT ARE HAPPENING IN THE BODY.

WE HAD A COAT DRIVE RECENTLY THROUGH EVERY COMMUNITY I KNOW OF HAS AGENCIES THAT RUNNER THE GUN TO HELP THE INDIVIDUALS ARE IN THE COME IN THE GET THROUGH THIS PANDEMIC SO MANY WAYS YOU CAN HELP.
MANY IN YOU CAN DO FROM HOME.
WE HAVE VOLUNTEERS WHO ARE WRITING NOTE CARDS TO PEOPLE WHO ARE NURSING HOMES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO HAVE VISITORS.
AND IT JUST, IT GIVES THAT YOU FEELING OF SELF WORTH BECAUSE YOU HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO HELP SOMEONE ELSE.
AND EVERY DAY I, I GET A CARD FROM SOMEONE THAT SAYS, KNOW, THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME AN OPPORTUNITY TO HELP SOMEONE ELSE THAT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD.
THEN, I GET A GRADER THE PERSON THAT THEY HELPED SAYING I THANK YOU.
THAT WAS SO HELP.
SH SOME OF THE WHETHER IT IS CARE PACKAGES THAT EVERY ISKILL THAT YOU HAVE IS USABLE AND I THINK THE BEST, THE BEST WAY YOU CAN GIVE BACK TO YOUR COMMUNITY IS TO GIVE YOUR TIME.

ONE OF THE THINGS WE WANT PEOPLE TO DO IS HELP PEOPLE RECOGNIZE THAT THERE ARE PASSIVE STRATEGIES AND ACTIVE COPING STRATEGIES, A PASSIVE COPING STRATEGY WITH STRESS IS TO TRY TO AVOID THE THOUGHTS AND THE EMOTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THAT STRESS, AVOID THINKING ABOUT THAT STRESSFUL SITUATION, WITHDRAW FROM PEOPLE SOCIALLY AND TRYING TO COMFORT OURSELF AND DO LESS PHYSICALLY, THOSE ARE PASSIVE TRAGEDIES WE ALL DO THOSE.
BUT WHAT WE REALLY IMMEDIATE TO DO IS ENGAGE IN ACTIVE COPING STRATEGIES, WHERE WE INTENTIONALLY MAKE A PLAN AND LOOK AT THE STRUGGLES THAT WE HAVE AND TRY TO COME UP WITH IDEAS OF WHAT WE MAY BE ABLE TO DO AND LIKE WAS ALREADY MENTIONED YOU WOULD CREATE BUDGET IS VERY HELPFUL.
SECONDLY, WE NEED TO PUT OUR ENERGY TO GOOD USE.
THAT FIGHT OR FLIGHT RESPONSE IS USEFUL BUT HOW DO WE PUT THAT INTO GOOD USE.
WELL, PHYSICALLY, WE NEED TO BECOME ACTIVE.

I WAS LISTENING TO NEWS THIS MORNING AND THEY HAD SOMEBODY AM TALKING ABOUT FINANCIAL IRONICALLY ENOUGH, AND THEY MADE THAT POINT, AGAIN, ABOUT PAY YOUR DEBTS DID ON TIME.

IT INTERFERES WITH OUR ABILITY TO FEEL OPTIMISTIC AND HOPEFUL ABOUT THE FUTURE.
AND WHEN THAT SETS IN, WE END UP REALLY FEELING LIKE THE FUTURE IS NOT GOOD.
