- Now that you're junior firefighters, here are some things you might need to know.
When we hear there's a fire, we have to be fast!

And we put on our firefighter coats and hats, to protect our bodies.

- And we use this bell to tell everyone, "Look out, we are in a hurry!"

- And then, when we get to the fire, we might have to climb this ladder to reach it.
- And we use our hoses to spray water on the fire to put it out!

This is where we have our turn- out gear.
This is what we wear to protect us from a fire.
And this is my firefighter protective gear: this is my helmet and this is my coat.
And these are my pants and my boots.
See how quickly that was?
And Lucas, this is the engine truck.
It carries 500 gallons of water and it empties in 5 minutes!
This is our hose that we connect to the fire hydrant.
It's really big, isn't it?
- Mm-hmm.
- And it's HEAVY.
Wanna feel it?
- Yes.
- Whoa, isn't that heavy?!
- Mm-hmm.
(laughing) - Okay, Lucas.
This is where the driver will sit if we're going to a fire.
We would turn on the ignition, which would take us to the fire, and then we would need an air horn, so we would have to push the lever to the left... (honking) ...and push the lever to the right, which would be the siren!
(siren) - Thanks for coming to the fire station with me, neighbor!
