Days of mass cancellations test patience of tired travelers
It’s been a chaotic time for airline passengers. Nearly 1,000 flights were canceled Monday across the U.S. and hundreds more Tuesday, marking a week of mass cancellations. It’s testing the patience of thousands of weary travelers as the air system can’t seem to keep up with post-pandemic pent-up demand and critical staffing shortages. Another factor is a shortage of air traffic controllers.
