Did you know that if you can breathe, you can calm yourself down?
So if you open that mouth of yours and take a big gulp of air, ah, that's a breath.
We use our breath to blow our birthday candles, sing, and even play the flute.
(flute plays) Your breath is going in and out of your mouth and fills up your lungs like a balloon.
(balloon inflates) And the way we breathe tells your brain sometimes how we should feel.
If you are breathing quickly from your chest it sends scary signs to your brain, there must be time to worry, but if you take big slow breath, deep down in your belly, it tells your brain there is nothing to worry about.
So next time you are feeling nervous or frightened or just not yourself.
You can breathe down deep (breathing) and slow belly breaths like a bull frog.
(frog croaks) Imagine filling up your whole stomach with air, just like a balloon and let out all the air slowly, and soon you may feel your body and your mind calming down and feeling a bit more relaxed.
Ahhhh Feeling better already.
