- Today, we're going to talk about decoding, which is matching letter sounds to the actual letters.
With the letter B, a ball.
- Look at all these items we found that begin with the buh sound.
I found a bus and a button.
Here's a bracelet.
- I walked around my house and found a bear.
A book with a bumblebee on it.
Also, I found a bottle.
- [Susan] Now it's your turn.
Pick your favorite letter and see if you can find items around your house that begin with that sound!
- And once you start matching letters to sounds, you'll be on your way to reading.
