Which items float and which items sink when we put them into a container of water?
Step one is to gather your supplies.
Step two is to make a prediction whether the items will sink, float, or whether I'm not sure if they will sink or float.
Step three is to test my predictions and put my items in the right column based on whether they sink or whether they float.
So why did some of my items float?
All because of something called density.
My rock and my penny are more dense than water so they will sink.
My sponge and my styrofoam ball are less dense, so they float.
I hope you had fun and I cannot wait until I see you next time.
