Kids learn to identify, describe, and understand their feelings, helping them develop tools for healthy emotional growth. My face feels hot and it's hard for me to express myself.
I wish I could sink down into quicksand Look, everyone feels embarrassed at one time or another.
Embarrassment makes you feel awkward because of the attention of other people.
To manag feeling embarrassed, celebrate and believe in yourself and join in the silly!
I feel worried.
Worry means like you're worried something would happen bad.
My thoughts are swirling in my head like a tornado.
That happens to me a lot though.
Everyone has worries.
Worries are thoughts that something might happen that is scary or uncomfortable.
It could be a though that something might not happen, that you were looking forward to.
Taking a few balloon breaths or talking with a trusted adult can help.
I feel excited!
My skin feels tingly and my tummy feels like there are frogs leaping inside of it!
I want to dance, hop and run around!
Excitement is a large amount of energy, enthusiasm, and eagerness.
Being excited can feel like a spark!
Excitement creates movement, and your body might feel like a bouncing ball.
Explore nature to find a saf place to get your wiggles out.
I feel lonely.
I feel lonely when I don't have any friends to play with.
You don't really have any friends and you feel like left out.
Everyone feels lonely sometimes.
Being lonely means you feel isolated or alone.
And this can happen when your friends and family are busy or you're in a new place.
When you're lonely, you can make new friend and invite them to play a game.
Or you can create art and build with blocks until others you care about can join you.
I feel calm.
My body feels relaxed, like a cloud floating through the day on an easy breeze.
You're just relaxing.
Your breathing is kind of...
Being calm feels quiet.
Notice how being calm will help you learn easier and play with your friends.
It's important to stay calm eve when you're having a hard day.
Try to be still and think peaceful thoughts.
I feel jealous.
My baby brother gets all th attention and nobody notices me.
when someone gets something that you really want, you feel jealous.
Jealousy happens when you're annoyed because it feels like someon is taking a friend's attention, time, or taking an object you want.
It can help to talk with your friend or loved one about how you're feeling or play with a different toy.
Remember, sharing is caring while you wait.
I feel proud.
It makes me feel like I'm te feet tall and as smooth as ice.
you might be like, "Woo!
I did it."
Everyone can feel proud.
Pride is deep satisfaction an admiration in your achievement.
Working hard and accomplishin a goal can make you feel great, but it's important to give yourself time to learn those new skills an know it's okay to make mistakes.
I feel disappointed.
You really want to do something, but when it doesn't happen, you're really sad about it.
Nothing is going my way.
It's okay to feel disappointed.
Disappointment is failur to meet an expectation or hope.
You can feel disappointed when you lose a game or plans change.
When you are disappointed, try to create a positive.
Find the sunshine in every situation.
I feel happy!
Giggles, smiles and loud laughter is how I show it.
I want to sing and play all day.
Happiness is feeling joy, glad and healthy in mind, body and heart.
There are lots of ways and reasons to feel happy.
You could be calm and relaxed or full of energy.
It feels good to remember happy times.
Share your joy with others with a smile or a high five.
Sometimes I feel scared.
I'm scared because I have scary dreams.
It feels like my heart is beating fast.
Everyone feels scared sometimes.
Even grown ups.
Scared is a strong emotion caused by anticipation of immediate harm.
Being scared can hel keep you safe by reminding you to stay away from danger.
Try sharing your feelings with an adult, cuddle with a blanket, and look for the helpers.
I feel sad.
it means, like, when you're hurt or when someone bullies you.
I would go under my bed and I would hug a stuffy.
Sadness is experienced by everyone.
People feel sad when they lose something or if they're treated badly or concerned about a loved one.
You can feel sadness in your chest and your tummy and it might feel like it's in a knot.
Drawing or helping other people can help you manage sadness.
I feel angry.
I want to yell or scream.
It's like I have a volcano inside me that might erupt!
Everyone feels angry sometimes.
Anger is tension and hostility arising from frustration.
Anger can make your skin feel warm, you might clinch your fists and your body might feel tight.
Some ways to help you when you're angry is to take deep, balloon breaths and talk to a saf adult about how you're feeling.
I feel loved!
It's like a great big hug surrounding me with marshmallow.
This feeling puts a song in my heart.
Everyone should feel love.
Love is a complex emotion involving strong feelings of affection, tenderness and care for another.
Love means feeling safe and protected.
Showing love with acts of kindness and gratitude will help love grow.
