Low energy isolation.
These are signs that they might be depressed.
Witnessing their pain and anxiety may be difficult.
It might be tempting to hope it's a stage and not address it.
But whatever they're feeling, it's real and they need you.
It's okay not to know the answers.
Show that you are there for them and ready to listen.
Ask them, are you thinking about suicide?
Asking can actually reduce the risk of suicid and provide a sense of relief.
