A pre-k program Governor Pence once touted as the blueprint for the state’s preschool initiative is having funding trouble. But supporters say they aren’t giving up. The average age of nuns in Indiana is rising into the mid-70s. That means more retirement and healthcare costs are putting a strain on congregations’ budgets.
