Let's spend some time with one of our neighbors!
- Hi, I'm Lucas, and today I'm visiting a fire station!
- Hi, I'm Firefighter Lisa, and I'm gonna show you around!
This is where we have our turn- out gear.
This is what we wear to protect us from a fire.
And this is my firefighter protective gear: this is my helmet and this is my coat.
And these are my pants and my boots.
See how quickly that was?
And Lucas, this is the engine truck.
It carries 500 gallons of water and it empties in 5 minutes!
This is our hose that we connect to the fire hydrant.
It's really big, isn't it?
- Mm-hmm.
- And it's HEAVY.
Wanna feel it?
- Yes.
- Whoa, isn't that heavy?!
- Mm-hmm.
(laughing) - Okay, Lucas.
This is where the driver will sit if we're going to a fire.
We would turn on the ignition, which would take us to the fire, and then we would need an air horn, so we would have to push the lever to the left... (honking) ...and push the lever to the right, which would be the siren!
(siren) - Thanks for coming to the fire station with me, neighbor!
- (both): Bye!
- I like these visits with you!
