On April 18th, 1906, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake devastates San Francisco’s Little Italy. Italians watch from high ground as fires reduce their hard work to ash. Yet, the community comes back stronger than before, empowered by loans from Amadeo Giannini’s Bank of Italy, a resource they’d long been denied by American banks.
