My dearest companion is missing.
Yes, breakfast was supposed to open our show today, but as you can see, there is no mouse.
It's a sad, sad day fo television viewers everywhere.
Screen breakfast.
What are you doing here?
I was looking all over for you.
Screen.
Okay.
I have good news and bad news.
Which do you want to hear first?
It's quite okay.
Bad news is you're late.
Like really late.
The show already started screen.
Okay, the good news is, even though you were late and you didn't do any of the work that was assigned to you, I'v decided to give you a promotion.
It's great.
Yeah.
Lunch.
Hey, what do you say?
Are you ready to make our show today?
Hey.
Great.
Yes.
What's on our show today?
We got coffee.
We have people, we have places.
We have fun.
We are sorry.
We are busy.
We got games.
We got you.
Hey, take it away.
Hey, friends.
How are you doing?
Right I have, I'm doing really, really great.
Yeah.
Saturday.
Didn't you?
I know you got excited.
I hear the song and I'm dancing around backstage.
We should keep the view that keep things moving.
Robert.
Yeah, we probably should.
Okay, so, you know, we like to start the show every day by asking you a couple of questions.
We'll get to know one another a little bit better.
So today we asked you two things.
The first question we asked you is.
Is there a clock in the room you're in right now?
Oh, let me look.
Oh yeah.
There's one over my head.
Yeah, I got one.
Yeah.
I've actually got a couple of clocks.
I see one over there at the bank.
So yeah.
Okay.
The second question that we asked you is and this is an important one, when you make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich do you put the peanut butter on first or the jelly.
I never thought about it.
You know, here's the thing.
Most people haven't thought about it.
And this is what I found out I was asking people all week long.
Some people put the peanut butter and jelly on the same slice.
Some people put it on different slices.
Some people start with the jelly because then you can wipe the knife off, and then you can use it for the peanut butter, I don't know.
So anyways, I'm real curious to see how I'm curious what people do.
Hey, some people use one knife for peanut butter, one knife for jelly?
Yeah, or sometimes they us just yes, he use one for both.
Although used to knives.
We can get into this forever.
All right But let's find out what we did.
Here's the here's the results of what we asked you today.
Here's our fun fact I have the viewers watching today.
Here is our fun fact.
80% of the viewers who d not have a clock in their room put the peanut butter on first.
First.
Wow.
Good to out, right?
Interesting.
Peanut butter first.
I think maybe maybe it's just implied by the name peanut butter and jelly.
Peanut butter is first, right?
That's an interesting observation.
I think we're going to have to ask what peanut butter question is next week.
Because now I'm really curious about these peanut butter habits.
Yeah, we can see.
Maybe the question could be what's your favorite bread?
Wait a minute.
I've got to make this.
I'm going to have to talk to the free apps.
But here's the thing.
Maybe we have a show.
It's a spinoff called Peanut Butter and Jelly.
And we just talk about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches all day long.
Well, I'm going to work on it.
I think I can make it a littl bit better, but I got an idea.
Okay.
This show.
Yeah.
Oh, Sam.
Tim.
Well.
Wait.
Yeah.
Sam.
You knows best.
I'm going to trust them.
But, Sam.
I'm going.
I'm going to spitball.
Maybe you and I after the show, we can talk things over.
I think that we're goin to come up with some good ideas.
Yeah, it' good to talk about stuff.
Okay.
What are we gonna do?
We got a shot of you, right?
Oh, yeah.
We do have a certain.
Why don't we play a game over a robbery?
We?
What is it?
Okay.
Are you ready?
We need to figure out what is it?
I'm not sure.
I don't know, maybe.
You know, here's our first look at it.
What do you notice?
Make some observations.
Such as color.
No, that's the detail so far.
I just see it's a color.
I see a line.
What appears to be a line?
Talk it over with whoever you're with.
We're going to get more information.
Yes, indeed.
It's orange.
Red elephant, I love it.
Yeah.
Keep sharing with us what you notice.
Oh.
Black squirrels.
Wondering if it's a barrel.
That makes sense, because construction barrels, I've noticed.
Oh, peach.
It's the color of a peach.
I can see that.
Wait a minute.
There's more information on Nicholas.
That would be logical based on the line.
But there's a new color.
Wait.
Orange and white or dress.
That makes sense, becaus I notice the shape is kind of.
Wait, oh, wait a minute.
There's more information at the top.
And the bottom is there?
No, it is a hat.
And that's.
No, that's a candy way.
Oh ice okay.
It's similar to a oh there.
It's it' what do you call those things.
It's Yeah.
Candy corn.
That's what I was.
Yes.
The create it is this color, the shape of the candy corn.
But then I noticed we don't have the scale to notice for the size of it to reference it.
If it's big or small.
You know what?
I'm not sure.
Did we see the whole thing?
Come on.
Yeah.
What is it?
Okay, now I see it's one of those.
Wait, wait a minute.
More information.
It's a duck.
Where in a traffic cone is a hat?
Did we see all the information at the start?
I'm not sure.
Hi, friends.
It's Jim here with my buddy Sparky and Baby Bumblebee.
We, have been practicing in the garage.
We've got a song that we've been working on, but we need your help because we haven't finished it yet, so we're looking for words that start with the letter L. So if you can come up with words that start with the letter L and then share them with us, that would be great.
And, we're going to write these down.
And then afte we've written down your ideas, we're going to put them all together.
Oh.
All right, this is good.
Okay, lollipop, we're off to a really good start.
Lollipop I like lollipop.
That's a fun word okay a lollipop.
Learn another good word.
That's a great L word.
Learn lime.
That's a fun one.
There's tw L's at the beginning of llama.
Did you know that?
It's tricky.
You don't think two L's?
Lime.
Another good one.
Awesome.
You know, I was thinking, oh, light is good.
I wanted to be sure.
One idea I had i I wanted to have a lamp shade.
Lemon, lemon.
I'm going to put lampshade in there because I like lampshade.
And Sparky, earlier you were saying to, I'm trying to think of what it was a lettuce.
Let's toss.
Oh, licorice is what you had said.
Lick or ash?
That two is spelled.
Oh, look at that purple as it came up with the same idea as you.
Lucky.
I think we need just two more ideas.
Two more ideas.
You're doing a good job, friends.
I'm very excited.
Laugh.
Laugh is a really good one.
All right, baby Bumblebee.
You got an idea, by any chance?
Oh, how about, Lima?
Lima?
Oh, and lamb, I' going to throw in lamb and Lima.
All right.
I think we're good to go.
Lamb and Lima, have you ever met a Lima?
No, I haven't.
You got it.
You I would thin it would be easy to get around.
So I would think you coul find a Lima some day.
All right.
We've gotten all your ideas here now, friends, are you ready?
We're going to try to put it together.
I have a good feeling about this.
All right, here we go.
One, two.
One two.
Ready?
And la la la.
Got la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la I'm.
Too good I take a verse.
La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la.
This I like the lampshade.
All right.
Solo baby.
Bumblebee, you got this right.
Beautiful.
All right.
You ready?
La la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la.
Land in.
Lemur.
Ooh la la la la la la la la la la la la la la.
Wow.
Nicely done guys.
Thanks for your help.
That was great.
So we all get writing credit on that right?
Right.
123456789.
Come on.
La la la.
La la la la.
Oh.
Okay, friends it's time for number crunching.
So what you do is pick a number between 1 and 500.
Here.
We gotta crunch you down.
Oh, man.
We're already doing.
It's between 250 to 500.
We've just cut it in half.
That's amazing.
And now it's between 252 and 378.
378 to 70 8 to 90 8 to 98.
Two 98.37 to 300, 303, 78.3013, 13 to 3, 78.
Yeah yeah yeah.
Oh, it's going to be a number between 342 and 377.
Oh we're narrowing and we're getting closer to crunching crunch.
And you have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Sometimes it goes crunch.
Oh boy.
Well I'm 7376.
I wonder if it's 371.
371 oh 3371 yeah.
We're going to the zoo with all our friends.
And when we're there, we're gonna see us.
Pygmy hippos.
All right.
Hi, everybody.
We're here at the giant Brazil with our friend Amanda.
How are you doing?
Amanda?
Hi.
I it's great.
It's good to see you again.
How's your brother Adam doing?
You know, he's doing great.
He's still teachin swimming, for sure.
Oh, great.
I like to tell him I said I would.
Yeah, I don't know.
All right.
Hey, so we're here with the pygmy hippo today.
Can't wait to tell us about him.
Oh, well, today we have Johari out in the dayroom.
He is, he's our male pygmy hippo.
We also have a female named, Noki.
They are both very cute.
The very small, their cousin, the River Hippo, is actually a larger.
These guys are going to be found in the jungle rather than, big open space like you find the River Hippo.
They still go in the water, but not as much as often.
Like hanging out on land a little bit more.
Well, you say that small, but I think that's relative.
They look pretty big to me.
Yeah, I imagine for a squirrel.
Yeah, they are like a little over a 500 pounds.
So that's pretty big.
That's a lot of big.
So how much do they eat a day then.
Oh they are actually very hungry hungry hippos.
They tell us every morning that they are starving.
They're just like, oh, we can't wait to have our breakfast.
It's like you're finally here.
Breakfast time.
They eat a lot of veggies and proteins and they eat grasses.
Wow.
Well, you know, I'm.
What, do they like to swim a lot?
Like how what how much time?
You know, you say they spen time in the water and on land.
Like, how much time do they spend swimming and and doe Adam ever get any tips for what?
You know, Adam doesn' come to teach them any lessons now because these guys actually don't swim.
They walk along the bottom of the water, so you don't.
Actually, if you look at their feet, it's not very webbed.
They actually just walk around.
What else can you pass about and what do they like to do for fun?
For fun?
They actually stay up all night, right?
So they have lots of fun, though, go through the jungle, there's, like, little tunnels that they find a cave.
Oh, and look for food.
But.
Yeah.
So that's why if you come during the day, sometimes you'll see him snoozing because they are very sleepy for a while.
So that night also, really, by the time tha you're showing up for breakfast, you're like, hey, where's my fourth meal?
Yeah, probably.
It's probably dinner for them.
Yeah, that's pretty cool.
Oh.
All right.
Well, thanks for sharing with us.
Yeah Thanks, Amanda.
I'm going to go.
I gotta go see some.
What else is around here?
Okay.
Hey, that was fun.
Oh, yeah.
I thought that it was, interesting that she was telling us that they don't know that that big.
They're only about 500 pounds.
Yeah, but.
So pounds.
That's a lot Yeah, that's not many squirrels.
Would that be.
That would be a lot o squirrels.
Trust me on that one.
Okay, so you know what we were asking everybody because I thought it was interestin about their eating habits too.
We asked, would you rather have breakfast for dinner or dinner for breakfast?
Breakfast.
Breakfast for dinner.
Yeah.
Well, here's what we asked our friends.
And pretty much, most people agree with you.
They would like to have breakfast for dinner.
Although some of us like dinner for breakfast, too.
You never know.
Hey.
So big news.
Guess what?
Something happene since we visited the zero seven.
Let's find.
You doing everybody?
It's me, Jack lumber with a pygmy hippo.
Update.
We go to Micheal Martin at the John Ball Zoo.
Michael.
Back on September 3rd, a little 11 pound bundle of joy arrive here at the John Ball Zoo and.
Hugo, our first.
Ever pygmy hippo calf.
Born to first time parents, Penelope and Jared.
He's become quite spicy.
Thanks.
He's really fun.
He's really active.
He kind of likes to try to get mom stirred up.
Born aroun 11 pounds, our animal care team tells me he's already roughly 30 pounds to watch that proces as he continues to grow and bond with mom behind the scenes, you can check out our baby Pygmy Hipp live stream up at the John Ball Zoo website.
Hugo Tyson design.
And and now think about this one.
They said that Hugo was 1 pounds, but Hugo's going to end.
Up being more than 500 pounds.
Wow.
That's pretty big.
Yeah, I love the name Hugo.
I do too.
I guess they asked people, they had some choices.
They did some voting.
Just kind of like we do here too.
So they ask people in Hugo's what they came up with.
So Hugo, Hugo, they have no clue.
Hey, let's play a game, Okay.
Hi.
I'm still, like, director of content here at WGU Public Media.
I'm in the conference room brainstorming some new words to use for Phil and the blank segment.
I came up with a great one for today.
Happy today's Phil and the blank is happy.
Blank.
Yeah, I. Guess I was finally happy potato.
Happy potato.
Yeah.
Don't make that potato happy.
Well, that's what we say.
When I was growing up, it's.
Been a real happy potato.
Yeah, we're.
Having a good day.
We were like, it's a heavy potato day.
Every potato.
And would you eat tater tots or something on that day?
No.
Oh, but that's a great idea.
Yeah, that would make you happy.
Tayto day I love the tater tots.
I always think it's the first thing I thought of right away was, Do I want to give it away?
I thought happy birthday.
Oh yeah, that makes sense.
We say happy potato on our birthday too.
Yeah, and happy, holidays.
Happy holidays, happy happy feet.
Yeah, that's a good one.
Today I got my happy feet.
Addicted to a tick, tick tick tick tock.
Happy birthday.
So.
Yeah, yeah.
That thing.
Yeah, yeah Okay.
Hey, here's what we got.
Happy day.
Yeah, that's another one.
Happy trails.
Happy birthday.
Yeah.
Happy trails, happy trails.
Yeah.
Fuck.
That's on.
Yeah yeah it's a. It's it, it's an oldie but a goodie.
Happy pancake.
No that's not it.
I think happy go right to.
I would be happy to see a pancake.
And then sometimes they make like a happy face and the pancake.
Right.
With some whipped cream and bacon for the mouth.
That sounds good.
I'm getting hungry.
Yeah, heavy.
Happy.
If you're happy and you know it, come up with the second word.
Clap.
Clap If you're happy and you know it, say happy potato table with it.
If you happen to know i and we want to show it up happy and you know it, say, let's play another game.
Yeah.
I'll choose.
I love this.
One.
We know this is.
Fun because we never have any idea what's coming next.
It's up to you.
So choose a dive one, 2 or 3.
And then after you choose we'r going to find out what's next.
You were right last.
Don't you get it right last week?
Okay.
I know quite we call it.
Man, I'm going to I'm going to choose number one.
Oh, but that doesn't mean the people want you.
It doesn't mean.
Does it mean it's up to you vote.
But I'm choosing one.
That's why I think everybody's going to do one, two.
Three.
No guesses.
We got to use the people time, It's coming.
It's down to.
What does that.
Mean?
From the WGU television archives.
It's our show yesterday.
Fan finale.
Fan.
Look, look, look what I found.
What is it?
Max?
Calm down.
What do you have?
The.
The best.
Thing in the world just.
Happened.
I was at school and on the playground, and I found this.
Well, someone must have lost it at recess.
We should take it to Mrs.
Flamingo.
Whoa whoa whoa.
Finders keepers.
Losers weepers.
It's the law of the playground.
Besides, they probably didn't even want it anymore.
No, Max, you can't keep it.
I bet whoever lost it is feeling really sad right now.
Right.
That's the part about losers weepers.
But, Max, what if you lost scruffy pup?
Scruffy puppy?
Where is scrappy.
Puppy?
What did you do with it?
Where is he?
He's fine, Max, he's fine.
Okay.
And see.
But what if they feel the same way about that watch you feel about scruffy puppy?
You're right.
I don't know what I'd do without scruffy puppy.
I guess we should return this watch.
You're doing the right thing, Max.
Someone should rewrite the law of the playground.
Oh, that was fun.
I like when we get to see I show yesterday.
How did you.
Yeah, it's a pretty funny show.
Yeah, I like Max, I like me.
They're both pretty funny.
They are.
And that is, I could feel wha they were feeling with Larson.
Right Because sometimes you're like.
Hey, finders keepers lives this.
Way.
But it is true.
Somebody who lost it, they might be like, oh, no, I lost my favorite watch.
Yeah.
Oh, my little scrappy puppy.
I had, like, a scrappy puppy.
Oh, this is a game we call.
What is it not to be confused with?
What is it?
What is it?
Yeah, we played that game.
Yeah.
Okay so this one here's what we do.
We give you a clue, you tell us what you think it is.
We don't even now it's up to us.
Y'all going to decide together.
So here's the deal.
Here's what we know about it.
It would make a great gift for a grandparent.
But what is it now?
Here's where you share your ideas about things that would b a great gift for a grandparent.
Flowers are nice a blanket.
Yeah, that's.
Oh, we could make a song.
Grandma, grandma, you're at their best.
I think it's good.
Yeah.
Chocolate can't go wrong with chocolate I watch.
I wonder if it's the same watch that they found.
That might be the one that it, Mine that the Max found.
Yeah.
Cookie.
All right.
What kind of cookies do you like?
Cookies.
I thought we I thought you knew that about me.
Okay, wait a minute.
Time.
I like that one.
Now, if you see an I. Daniel.
Yeah, that's a great idea.
If you type it again, it gets bigger.
And that's going to help us decide what the best gift might be.
They have to be the one flowers.
Okay.
Yeah.
I is them.
I like time though I think it's a really good idea.
Right Because I know a lot of times.
Grandparents just want to spend.
Time with each other, with the kids.
It's like spending time with grandma and grandpa.
Song and sorry, sorry.
What does it mean?
Nana nana nana nana nana nana nana nana hein.
Oh, that could be classic.
Oh, me.
Okay, Sam, I never go to same.
Heidi.
That's my Nana.
That's.
Oh.
That's nice.
Oh, yeah.
So I think.
Yeah.
And song is pretty much.
I want us out.
Of the spiders would be amazing.
Is oh flower song.
So I did that.
Okay.
I'm just my favorite.
I gotta listen first.
One of the two minutes.
Here's where you got to find somethin that starts with the letter D. Find something small.
Find something that comes in a pair and a rare and.
Okay.
Go.
Okay, I'm gonna go this way.
Okay.
Look in something I searched with D. I don't see anything.
A little bit less.
Razor.
Hey, I maybe I should check back here.
So anything that starts with d back here.
Oh.
Look upstairs Maybe there's something in here.
I found some dice.
Oh, what is that?
What d oh, look.
It's.
Oh yeah.
That's great.
I was just playing.
I like o door button and socks.
This purple alligator.
Okay.
I gotta keep looking.
Sometimes different.
D maybe I should check it out in the basement.
Is there anything down here?
I gotta move some stuff around.
Okay.
That's the look.
Okay.
I found dice.
Where did you find?
They're small.
Wait a minute.
I thought you already found dice.
Did you find dice twice for.
That's okay.
Oh, darn it.
Pin and earrings.
That's cool.
Okay.
Good looking I have.
I gotta g look up in the backstory group.
You find anything yet?
No.
This.
There's a tricky one for me today.
I found dice.
They come in a pair.
Wait a second.
Did you think these are three times?
Oh, yeah.
Okay.
So what?
They are small.
Come in a pair.
And a pair.
They start with a lot of D. Wow.
These are good points.
Yeah, maybe.
You do get bonus points for that.
I'm not really sure.
We've never done that before.
Sometimes a pair of glasses.
What are the weight.
Oh yeah I don't I don't wear glasses.
I have trouble finding them if I know where that is.
Good.
They come in a pair.
Yeah.
Pants.
Bear pants I could go look.
For better man.
