Getting ready for school is an exciting time.

Did you know there are skills you can practice at home, to get ready for the big day?

And it's never too early to start.

Here is a list of some activities to try at home.

Number one, use your voice to tell how you feel, or what you need.

Your teacher can't help you unless you talk to them.

Number two, practice those self-help skills, like zipping your coat, tying your shoes, and opening your own food containers.

Number three, share and take turns when playing with your friends.

Number four, start to play, explore, and have fun with letters and numbers.

Number five, get a good night's rest every night.

Try practicing these skills at home, to have a successful school year.
