Leonard Knight's bumpy road to salvation

Leonard Knight was on his way to the west coast in the mid-1980s when his van broke down on Interstate 80 near Shelton and he spent 3 years there. Members of the rural community adopted the man and helped him realize his dream of sewing a hot air balloon to spread his message of faith. Knight then spent 14 years in the California desert creating his visionary work, Salvation Mountain.
