Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship- Do you have it?
- I don't.
- We love playing board games.
It's our way of connecting as a family.
One of our favorites is a sight word game, I bought for my oldest.
Now my kindergartner and three-year-old can use it.
The youngest is learning to identify letters and sounds and it's a good review for her sisters.
I use board games as a teaching tool, whether we're learning something new or reinforcing some things we already know.
- Can you see it on my board?
- Board games also help with motor skills, which is important for writing and it can boost their vocabularies.
What about this word?
- Good job.
You see that word on my board?
- The games are always fun, but if we can learn at the same time, we all win.
