Key Bridge Disaster: Reflect, Recover, Rebuild

Longshoremen

Clip | 2m 10s

When Key Bridge fell, the port employees had to look for alternate work to support their families.

When the cargo ship Dali crashed into the Francis Scott Key Bridge, it prevented all ships from reaching the port of Baltimore. That resulted in port employees, including longshoremen losing their livelihoods. Longshoreman Scott Ambrose heard the collision from his home near the bridge. His colleague, Wendell Supreme Shannon, put his artistic talents to work to support his family.
