It is a country song done in a reggae style.

A friend asked me if I could do such a thing.

And I started looking and searching.

And originally I found this George Strait song called "The Chair."

Y'all heard that one before?

Well, I wanna do it in a reggae style, but I discovered that a Jamaican artist by the name of Tarrus Riley had already done it.

So once you convert a song into a reggae song and it's already been done, it's kind of cliche.

So I started looking and searching, and I found this song that was inspired by the movie "Forrest Gump."

You guys remember the movie "Forrest Gump" of course, right?

So when Forrest got on the bus for the first time and he saw Jenny, he said that out of the blue clear sky Jenny appeared.

So the songwriters heard this, they wrote this incredible song, and they pitched it to George Strait, and he said, "That makes no sense.

"Who the hell says blue clear sky?

"It should be clear blue sky."

And they're like, "Well, Forrest said it."

And George was like, "All right, I guess I'll run with it."

And it became one of George's top 25 greatest hits of all time.

And, you know, he has a ton of them.

And for me back on the islands, it's one of my number one hits.

It plays on the radio every single day.

And it has manifested the good things in my life as well out of the blue clear sky.

You never know what songs will do, and that one has brought really good things into my life.

And also getting to play with these amazing musicians up here and sharing good vibes with you guys.

And for me as a musician, it changed my whole life in a good way.

I was living on the islands.

And well actually, I think I was doing summertime over on the islands, and there was this musician playing at a private house party that we got invited to.

And I remember seeing his dreadlocks and watching him play and just being totally enamored with what he was doing.

And years later I asked my family who it was and it was Ziggy Marley and that was my first introduction to reggae music was watching Ziggy as like a five or six-year-old child and just totally enamored with the vibe and what he was doing and the message.

And I just remember seeing him smiling at me and just having the time of his life just like I get to do for all the keikis and the children out there jamming with my friends.

Even though sometimes things get kind of crazy, we're blessed to be here and we only have so much time to enjoy it.

Sometimes I like to learn songs that fit my vibe, and every once in a while they come out at the same time.

So this one right here is a song, because it's almost time for us to say goodnight but not quite yet.
