This history of the Mayo Clinic started with a tornado that swept through Rochester. During the recovery process, William Mayo and his two sons (both Doctors) were approached by Mother Alfred Moes who had a vision to establish a hospital that would become world-renowned for its medical arts. The hospital was built and her vision came true.
