Marshall McKay dedicated his life to preserving and advocating for Native culture.

Marshall McKay, tribal elder and Chairman Emeritus of the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, dedicated his life to preserving and advocating for Native art, culture and the environment. McKay died December 29, 2020 in Los Angeles due to complications from COVID-19. Footage in this video was compiled from a recent episode of KCET's "Tending Nature."
