Patrick Graves was in Vietnam when Apollo 11 landed on the moon. He remembers looking up at the moon that night and thinking that Americans – including a fellow West Point graduate, Buzz Aldrin, were up there. Most soldiers in Vietnam, he says, had other things than the moon on their minds.
