The annual Prairie Thunder Rally at Appleton’s Off Highway Vehicle park features a blindfolded barrel run, rock climbs, a mud run, jumps for motocross bikes and other off-road challenges for a variety of skill levels and ages. Host Bret Amundson turned in a transmitter after harvesting one of the study’s birds and received back a proprietary glimpse into the life of a mallard.
