They encounter a variety of fairly common Black Hills creatures including a Yellow Bellied Racer, Ruffed Grouse, Elk, Wild Turkeys, Big Horn Sheep, Antelope, a Wandering Garter Snake AND....a giant Sand Hill Crane!
