(laughter) ♪ Down in the alley ♪ Under the tall buildings ♪ Find a possum in a dumpster ♪ Or a mouse at play ♪ And up in the sky ♪ If you look so high ♪ There's the pigeons that fly all day ♪ See a family of raccoons in the little lagoons ♪ In the park where the folks all go ♪ Feed the ducks ♪ And with a little luck ♪ A hawk might steal the show ♪ Cats look down from the windowsills ♪ Dogs where sweaters if they're chilled ♪ There are thousands of feet ♪ That walk on every street ♪ But there's space for all the creatures ♪ And there's food to eat ♪ There's plenty of wildlife ♪ Open your eyes ♪ In the city when you go outside ♪ Come on ♪ There are little birds chirpin' ♪ When the sun gets up ♪ But in the evening in the summer ♪ There are lightening bugs ♪ Gardens on rooftops, homes for hawks ♪ And I bet you find bugs on every block ♪ The bees are buzzing ♪ And the squirrels by the dozen ♪ And a skunk might catch your eye ♪ Drinking from a puddle in the alley ♪ Or foraging for food under the street light ♪ Cats look down from the windowsills ♪ Dogs wear sweaters if they're chilled ♪ There are thousands of feet that walk on every street ♪ But there's space for all the creatures ♪ And there's food to eat ♪ There's plenty of wildlife ♪ Open your eyes ♪ In the city when you go outside ♪ There's plenty of wildlife ♪ Open your eyes ♪ In the city when you go outside ♪
