Hi Joe!
Hey Brody, got a question for you.
What are two things that you think of as two of your favorite sounds?
- Well, one of them is a level up in a video game.
- Uh, nice.
Do you have an example of a level up sound?
- Um.
- How about this?
Bureep!
Does that sound track?
(laughs) Good, Good.
What's another thing you like the sound of?
- Another one is my brother playing the bass.
- Oh!
Boom du boom boom boom boom boom It's kinda like that?
Ba dup ba bu do Or has he got more, more, more rhythm?
- More rhythm.
- (laughs) I hear yeah, I hear yeah!

- Hmm, I love the sound of laughter.

- Any favorite type of bird?
Um... - Hmm.... - Or just birds in... - Just birds in general.
- Yeah.
- The birds that were on my alarm when I wake up.

- It makes me feel like I'm waking up inside a forest.
- Oh, that sounds lovely!
- I love I wanna do that too.
I'd sometimes I just hear err err err!
Like man we need birds.

- So one of the, my favorite sounds is the sound I can make.

- All right so what's the other, another favorite sound?

- And then, then laughter.
Oh, we should put all these sounds together at the one same time and we would be like, Wow!...

My first example, already (laughs) sometimes one's better than two.
But it's a good backup, backup, okay.

♪ Yeah, cause then you could be like taking a road trip together.

What's one of your favorite things?
- Well, one of my favorite things is spending time with my family.

Yeah, lots of things come in twos.
Two eyes.
Two ears.
Two feet.
Yeah, I have two wings.
Yeah.
We also call things that come in twos a pair.
You can have a pair of gloves.
A pair of socks.
A pair of shoes.
I don't understand a pair of pants.
I mean, I guess it's because there are two legs but it's still only one thing.
Hmm, Yeah.
Cause shirts have two arms but we don't call them a pair of shirts.
Hmm, I'm gonna do some more research on that one.
(upbeat fun music) - [Wimee] Okay, okay.
Friends, it's time for today's - [Wimee] ♪ 1, 2, 3 sentence story.
♪ - [Wimee] That's right friends.
Let's write a story together.
In the first sentence we'll set the scene.
In the second sentence there is a problem!
(crying) But, good news because in the third sentence there is a solution.
Ah!
Friends, let's go to Brody for the very first word of the story.
He will inspire you the first sentence.
Any word at all Brody.
What do you think?
- What about a pear?
- A pear.
(laughs) Now are you talking the fruit?
Right, first, you kind of got me for a minute.
I first thought of pair like two but then suddenly I realized wait a minute.
A pear.
Okay, I got it I got it.
I'm on it.
Thanks Brody.
A pear.
Okay.
Oh.
A pair of pears.
Oh, this is just getting more fun by the minute.
Okay, here we go.
First sentence.
I sat down to make lunch and I had a pair of pears sitting next to me on the table.
Yeah, okay that's cool.
Gonna work on making some lunch, and I got a pair of pears, and oh, I wonder if I wanna make fruit salad.
But oh no!
There's a a problem.
The wimage board is here.
Oh, wimage board.
You got a pair of wimees.
(laughs) Okay, we need a pair of pears.
So two pairs on the table.
Friends, I need someone at home here watching.
Share with us another word, a person place or thing.
A noun and let's see that word will inspire the problem.
Carrot.
(laughs) Okay, got it.
Carrot is our second word.
Here we go from the top.
I sat down at the table, ready to make lunch, and I had a pair of pears.
I was hoping to make a salad.
I was gonna say the carrot.
I had no carrots.
But the carrot I'm thinking instead, wimage board you inspired me.
The carrot is actually going to... push the pears off the table.
That's what it is.
(laughs) Watch this.
From the oh no, look at that, poof!
Okay, from from the top here's the story.
I was ready to make lunch and I had a pair of pears on the table.
Out of nowhere a carrot came by and pushed that pear.
Ooh Ooh, wimage board, can we duplicate the pear?
I wanna have two pears on the ground and that carrot.
There it is.
Oh man, oh man!
Look at that.
That sneaky carrot pushed those pears right off on the ground.
Friends, how do we make the fruit salad?
I guess it's a pear salad for now.
How do we fix the problem, with the pears on the ground, trying to make a fruit salad umbrella?
Okay, umbrella.
Oh I got it, I got it!
(laughs) Perfect, thanks for that idea.
Okay.
I was sitting down at the table ready to make some lunch and I had two pears on the table.
Out of nowhere, a sneaky carrot came by and pushed those pears right off the table.
I immediately picked up an umbrella, scooped up the.
I just put my hand in my mouth, I got so excited.
I scooped up those pears and put them right back up on the table to continue making lunch.
(laughs) Problem solved.
(laughs) Friends at home share with us more ideas for this story.

Oh, a pig!
Wimage board, there's going to be a pig in the story too and a banana.
Oh man, I love this!

What can we learn from you today in Swahili?
- [Brad] (laughs) So the word two is mbili.
- Mbili.
- Mbili.
- Mbili, yup, and then I thought because we're talking about the number two.
I would give you the number one.
- [Wimee] Oh.
- [Brad] Moja.
- [Wimee] Moja, nice.
- And then I thought if we have the number one and two let's go... - [Wimee] The number three.
- Yes.
- [Wimee] (laughs) - [Brad] Three, tatu.
- [Wimee] Tatu.
- [Brad] Tatu.
- [Wimee] Nice, one, two three.
- [Wimee] Well, let's see.
- [Wimee] Okay, let's see.
- [Wimee] Can you put them all up one - [Wimee] at a time, and I'll see if I can remember?
- Okay.
- [Wimee] So number one is Moja.
- Uh Ha.
- [Wimee] And then number two... - Two.
- [Wimee] is Mbili.
- Yeah.
- [Wimee] And number three, Tatu.
- Uh ha, very good Wimee.
- Oh Ha, I love it!

What friend?
What did you see?
A pair of boots.
I saw a pair of socks, gloves, pants.
That one I'm still wondering about, but I think Mobi's kind of onto something there with the two legs.
A pair of glasses and more.

I am so happy to share this book, Twogether by Susan Gal.
- I love that title.
- The first reason why I love this book is because it takes place on the beach.
And I think a story about a warm sunny day is a good thing to be reminded of or to dream about in the second month of the year when we're still in winter.
Another reason why I like this book is because it's about playing.
Right here, this is a shrew.
And when the shrew gets to the beach he's looking for someone to play with.
Could he convince elephant who is happy to surf, sail, and sing by herself?
And what if more than two animals want to join in the fun?
There are so many different ways to play whether it's by yourself, with two or with a crew and all of those ways are okay.
This fun story can help you find the words to say how you like to play.
And that's why you should check out this book at your local library.

- Let's see, I found a toffee.

And when I picked up my library card I turned it around and saw that there's a two.

And then there's some playing cards in my office.
So I looked through the deck and I found a pair of jokers.
- Pair of jokers, ha ha.
- Two of them, ha ha.
So fun, so fun.
- Brody, what have you found?
- Well, I found a pair of two dollar bills.
There's a two on them.
- It's a two.
- It's a pair.
- It's got them all.
It starts with, yeah.
(laughs) Wait a minute your lamps got them too.
- What, that?
You've got them on your lamp, you got $2 bills everywhere.
(laughs) - Yep.
Man, that's so fun.
Those are such unique bills.
Where did you get those?
- My grandma gives them to us for our birthdays.
- Ah, that's special.

Friends, what can you find something that starts with T. Something with the number two on it or a pair?
Mr. Brad, what have you found?
- I have a thumb tack.
So T for thumb and T for tack.
- Oh, two T's.
(laughs) - Then I have a plate.
- [Brad] And it's, you can't see it too well there.
- [Brad] There it is, it has numbers on there.
- [Brad] There's even a number two in there.
- No, I see it on the barcode number two.
And then I have a pair of superheroes.
- Whoa, a pair of superheroes.
♪ Do do do do do do doo doo ♪ I'm coming up with a superhero song.
♪ Do do do do doo doo ♪ I love it, Mr. Brad.
- Joe, trust starts with T. I love it, so fun.
