Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship- [Narrator] Young children are still learning how to learn.
Play is one way for them to practice new skills or express new knowledge, and it could be fun for you, too.
Everyday objects like leaves, rocks, and sand can lead to loads of science learning, as children observe and experiment with objects around them.
Encourage your child to create a story about new things they've learned.
It might include real or pretend things, like astronauts or superheroes.
Making up stories boosts a child's language skills and makes learning more fun.
Do some activities together, bake cookies, or take a walk, or make up a silly dance for their favorite song.
These simple tasks allow young children to observe and make connections.
Through play, children get the time to practice without the worry of getting all the answers right all the time.
