And its our first time, really, using Stetson Studio in this way as kind of our Vermont Abbey Road, if you would, and you get to be a part of this experiment.
This is all about hope for a better world.
That's what one day is about, that one day we can all be living in peace with one another.
These choirs and these instruments are basically like a living parable that there's all these different individuals coming from different places with different voices, different trainings.
And they all come together and they all sing one song together It's not asking them to all be one, one homogenous idea.
It's asking them to be one in song.
And they're able to create something together that one person could never do alone.
And that, I hope, is an object lesson for all of us: that we can all come as we are, bring our voices in for one song and see a better day.
Wasn't today, but maybe it'll be tomorrow.
[applause] Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah Oooooh, ooooh Oooooh, ooooh Oooooh, ooooh Oh!
Hush thee, my baby, the night is behind us, And black are the waters that sparkled so green.
The moon, o'er the combers, looks downward to find us, At rest in the hollows that rustle between.
Where billow meets billow, then soft be thy pillow, Oh weary wee flipperling, curl at thy ease!
The storm shall not wake thee, nor shark overtake thee, Asleep in the arms of the slow swinging seas!
Asleep in the arms of the slow swinging seas!
Oooooh, ooooh Oooooh, ooooh Oooooh, ooooh Oooooh, ooooh Oooooh, ooooh Oooooh, ooooh Oooooh Elijah Rock, shout, shout Elijah Rock comin' up, Lord Elijah Rock, shout, shout Elijah Rock comin' up, Lord Elijah Rock, shout, shout Elijah Rock comin' up, Lord Elijah Rock, shout, shout Elijah Rock comin' up, Lord Elijah Rock, shout, shout Elijah Rock comin' up, Lord Elijah Rock, shout, shout Elijah Rock comin' up, Lord Satan is a liar and a conjurer too, if you dont watch out hell conjure you.

My Lord he spoke these words so sweet, Shepherd, if you love me feed-ah my sheep.
Lord, I love thee, thou doest know Oh, give me strength to love thee more.
You hear the lambs a-cryin' Hear the lambs a-cryin' Hear the lambs a-cryin' O Shepherd, feed-ah my sheep.
You hear the lambs a-cryin' Hear the lambs a-cryin' Hear the lambs a-cryin' O Shepherd, feed-ah my sheep.
Skylark, have you anything to say to me?
Won't you tell me where my love can be?
Is there a meadow in the mist where someone's waiting to be kissed?
Skylark, have you seen a valley green with spring?
Where my heart can go a journeying over the shadows and the rain, to a blossom cover lane And in your lonely flight Haven't you heard the music in the night?
Wonderful music, faint as a will o' the wisp Crazy as a loon, sad as a gypsy serenading the moon Oh skylark, I don't know if you can find these things But my heart is riding on your wings So if you see them anywhere wont you lead me there Skylark, have you anything to say to me?
Won't you tell me where my love can be?
Is there a meadow in the mist where someone's waiting to be kissed?

Wonderful music, faint as a will o' the wisp Crazy as a loon, sad as a gypsy serenading the moon Oh skylark, I don't know if you can find these things But my heart is riding on your wings So if you see them anywhere wont you lead me there For friendships long and family near, for all in life that we hold dear Let fortune smile and luck appear ‘round the corner through each coming year May all your days be ever full of love May sorrow never come to call And for now, we share this parting wish Farewell and joy be with you all May all your days be filled with love Farewell and joy be with you all We send this gentle song to you with all our hearts and feelings too Let it sing to you wherever you go, endless blessings on your life bestow May all your days be ever full of love May sorrow never come to call And for now, we share this parting wish Farewell and joy be with you all May all your days be filled with love Farewell and joy be with you all Joy be with you all We shall overcome, we shall overcome We shall overcome, someday; Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe, We shall overcome, someday; We shall overcome, we shall overcome We shall overcome, someday; Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe, We shall overcome, someday; We shall all be free, We shall all be free We shall all be free, someday.
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe, We shall all be free, someday.
We shall live in peace, We shall live in peace We shall live in peace, someday.
Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe, We shall live in peace, someday.
We shall overcome, we shall overcome We shall overcome, someday; Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe, We shall overcome, someday; For one day, one brief moment it all stopped All the weapons were silenced, and the crimson rivers ran dry The children played in the open fields and old folks danced upon the roof For one day, one day only, voices sang out Many songs, one message, tomorrow as a rising hope, not just a rising sun And the soldiers whistled the tune For one day, one joyous day, the guns were dismantled Their barrels were born again as the fifes that play Not a political march or a victory song, but a tune of compassion For one day, one glorious circle, the media was silent And the poets spoke and the choirs sang and the artists sculpted visions in stone The dancers struck a pose, hand in hand in hand in hand.
For one day, one flash of the eye, no hatred, no malice, no unkind word spoken For dogma, division and deception died in a flood of understanding and we breathed as one new air For one day, one thought of the mind, no grieving mother, no weeping child, no angry man No government, no religion, no boundaries, no disputes no barriers, no inhibitions for all the world was one For one day.
It wasnt today.
Maybe it will be tomorrow.
