Clip: Season 14 Episode 1426 | 4m 50sVideo has Closed Captions

Giles Clement is practicing the almost-forgotten craft of wet plate photography.

In Portland, Giles Clement practices the antique craft of wet plate photography. He loves the room for error and the chance for failure. Giles spent most of his career working with digital cameras, but these days he loves the messy wonder of his wet plate process. Each print is a chance to try again for perfection.
