Meet Kayla Mattes, who’s weaving digital technology into an ancient art form: textiles.

Kayla Mattes spins digital references into an ancient art form: loom weaving. Her brightly colored tapestries are inspired by technology and pop culture. She draws inspiration from graphical user interfaces… studying the language of the technology you interact with every day. Sourcing recycled materials for her pieces, she weaves her unique and thought provoking tapestries.
