We hook into some hefty smallmouth bass during Vermont's spring catch and release season. Our national bird is again successfully nesting in Vermont, and we catch a glimpse of one of the first eagle chicks hatched in the Green Mountain State in more than 50 years. Then we wade the Poultney River in search of some river rarities, native freshwater mussels.
