Okay, okay, here we go.
This morning I began to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich on some sourdough bread.
I was planning to buy some juice at the grocery store to go with it but I had no money.
- Oh no!
- I know.
This changes my plans.
But how do we solve this problem, friends?

I guess running out of money is more of a mystery.
Maybe there were coins on the desk and somehow the coins were missing.
That would be something for Encyclopedia Brown.
- Yeah, I think it could.
- Oh, thanks Sara, the solution is an ant.
- Oh!
- Yeah, right?
Okay, here we go.
I was making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich today on sourdough bread.
I had planned to buy some juice at the grocery store but I didn't have any money.
I decided to take a walk and some ants walking by offered to share their orange juice.
(laughs) Think that will solve it, right?
There's some ants walking by, even though I didn't have any money, I decided to just go for a walk and my friends, the ants helped me out and shared and I shared my sandwich with them.
This story is getting better and better.
What do you think?
- I think it's nicely done.
- All right.
Well friends, we love to create stories.
We love to make Wimages.
We love to translate the words into different languages.
Today, we're gonna go to Language Explorers right now with Miss Sara to find out how to say today's words in Spanish, hi Miss Sara!
- Hi Wimee.
All right, so we have three words, the first word is the word bread.
Do you know how to say the word bread in Spanish, Wimee?
- Good question.
I kind of want to say it starts with an M, but I might be way off.
Can you give me a clue?
- No, it starts with a P. - P, pan.
- Good job.
- Did I get it?
- Bread in Spanish is pan.
Bread, pan.
I want some pan.
Yo quiero un pan.
I want some bread.
- I want some bread.
- There you go.
And then in order to buy the bread you need some money.
- Money.
- Money, money, and I wanna say- - [Wimee] Oh, can you give me a clue?
Maybe I know this one, what does it start with?
- I want to tell you something because there's something funny.
In Spanish money... No, in Spanish you say mani.
Mani, with an accent at the end.
- Whoa.
- Mani.
But money, the actual with coins that you use to buy stuff in Spanish is called dinero.
- Dinero.
I did know that.
- Dinero.
- Dinero.
Mucho dinero.
- Mucho dinero para comprar mani.
Lots of money to buy mani, peanuts.
- Oh, that's so funny, that could be the start of a poem or something.
- That's right, yes.
And then the ants, they have a lot of orange juice, not mani, right?
- They do.
- So ants in Spanish starts with an H. And in Spanish the letter H doesn't have any sound.
So you ignore the letter H, 'cause it's silent.
So you start with the next letter after the H and the word for ant in Spanish is hormiga.
- Hormiga.
- Hormiga.
So you ignore that H. But you have to put it there, 'cause otherwise you have a grammatical error.
And those are your three words.
- I love it!
I love sharing the peanut butter and jelly sandwich with the ants and the juice and I'm gonna get some dinero and get some pan and the hormigas, we're gonna have a... You know, ants do like to have picnics.
Even if they're not invited.
- But before I let you go, let me just write this because it's important for you to know how you say peanut in Spanish.
And you can remember this for today.
Mani, peanut.
- I think it's so fun that the word money came in and the word play with that today.
- Mantequilla de mani, peanut butter, mantequilla de mani.
- Mantequilla de mani.
Butter of peanut, right?
- That's right.
- Mantequilla de mani.
