So why's he calling first?
- When things go in order, instead of saying one, two, three, you can say... ♪ First, second and third ♪ - Catchy!
- ♪ Back on earth or here in space ♪ ♪ As you go from base to base it's... ♪ - ♪ First!
- Second!
- And third!
♪ - Fourth base is called home.
When you run all the way around the bases and cross home, you score a run.
- And the team that scores the most runs wins.
♪ The bases are numbered, we all know that, but is there an order when it's time to bat?
♪ - There sure is!
♪ First, second and third ♪ - ♪ Do you count in order when players are out?
- Oh yeah, George ♪ ♪ Without a doubt!
♪ - ♪ First, second and third ♪ - When a team's batting, they get three outs.
Then the other team bats.
♪ So in case you've been sleeping or just haven't heard When you're counting in order ♪ - ♪ It's first, second and thiiiiiird!
