Join a historic expedition that followed the shoreline the Albemarle sound.

ENC joined an expedition in Elizabeth City. Then by boat ENC followed the shoreline of the Albemarle Sound to Hartford County, Edenton, Plymouth, Columbia, and the Somerset Plantation. In a four-day history lesson, ENC learned the history of agriculture & commerce in NC’s northeast corner. ENC also learned about the role that enslaved people played in the development of the region.
