As pandemic mandates are ending, so too are many programs put in place during the last two years that helped feed NJ’s kids. One in 10 face hunger in the state, according to Feeding America. Now, lawmakers and advocates against child hunger are pushing for the extension of programs like waivers for free breakfast and lunch, or “grab and go” meals provided by schools before they expire on June 30.
