Maine poised to be first state to use ranked choice voting in a presidential election.
Maine will be the first state in the country to use ranked choice voting to choose a president. Under RCV, voters rank their choices for president (if there are more than two candidates on the ballot). The process goes into effect for the 2020 general election, but not the primary. RCV advocate David Farmer join co-hosts Roger Katz and Democratic State Senator Erin Herbig for a discussion.
