The more kids are read to, the better they're able to read.

Read to your youngsters and expose them to as many words as you can.
Mom reading: And the doctor said?
Girl reading: No more monkeys jumping on the bed.
Mom reading: Good job.
Read in whichever language you're most comfortable reading in.
You don't have to speak in English.
Encourage your kids to read in any language.
Man reading: Would.
Boy reading: Would.
Man reading: You.
Boy reading: You.
Man reading: Eat.
Boy reading: Eat.
After all, children who are read to when they're young are more likely to do well in school.
