In the “Fatal Crescent” residents try to better the community after a young boy is shot.

The Crescent of Poverty refers to five neighborhoods around the northern border of Rochester's downtown, the most violent sector of the city. Residents became accustomed to the “circus of chaos” by a gradual progression of tolerance for violence starting in the early 90’s. Only until young Tyshaun Caldwell was killed in crossfire did the community begin to use creative ways to improve city streets
