Learn Moreabout PBS online sponsorship(upbeat instrumental music) - [Narrator] The word of the week is Blarney, which means skillful, flattery or nonsense, and is associated with a town, and a castle in County Cork, Ireland.
Some say Blarney came to mean flattery when Queen Elizabeth I, used it to describe the flowery, but insincere language of McCarthy Moore, the Lord of Blarney Castle.
It's a good story, but it may be nothing but Blarney.
